In the context of the Holy Eucharist rite II liturgy, our fourth Sunday service (which only occurs when the last Sunday is the fifth Sunday) begins at 10am with the processional opening hymn, followed by the praise worship section; a time of inspired gospel songs accompanied with different musical instruments, clapping of hands, dancing and use of tambourines.
Next we have the readings, a Psalm and the Gospel which is followed by the Sermon or a special presentation by a guest speaker or a lay member. The Creed is followed immediately by the prayers of the people; we invite congregants to offer prayers in their native languages. The greetings of Peace, announcements and the offertory precede the Great Thanksgiving. Service ends with blessings and processional closing hymn at around 11.30am.
Our children join the Lutheran Sunday School classes between 10:15am and 11:15am. Children who are too young or unable to join classes stay with our child care providers at the nursery. All children join us for communion and blessing around 11.30am.
A time of social hour with coffee and snack begins immediately after service; during this time, people get to know each other and chat with the priest.
