Who We Are

Grace Chapel Brockton (GCB) is a community of people with differences, beloved by God.

We celebrate the beauty of our uniqueness in Christ while breaking down the walls created by our differences. As our Warden Rachel Yerokun puts it, Grace Chapel is where we come together “for the same goal of wholeness.”

We are an intergenerational community of liberals and conservatives. Black, white, and brown. Immigrants and citizens. We are multilingual, praying and worshipping in many tongues.

We wrestle with the complexity of our times together. We strive to embody the lion and the lamb as expressed in Christ.

Our roots are in Episcopal and Anglican traditions. We open our arms wide to Pentecostals,

Evangelicals, and people who simply identify as Christians. Our worship is both quiet and contemplative, loud and charismatic.

We make the most of every opportunity to celebrate, have fun, and enjoy the companionship of our siblings in Christ.

We respond to our community’s needs. We commit ourselves to youth development, women’s empowerment, and men’s encouragement. We support the reunion of families and create a sense of communal living.

Above all, we meet people where they are. When we meet each other where we are, we grow together – with Jesus Christ our Savior as our example in all things.
